Originally from the Niagara region, she began her career as a radio news anchor and morning show co-host. Kim MacDonald is an on-camera presenter, host, anchor, and content creator who has been with TWN for 23 years. We asked each person if they feel like theyвЂ™ve been treated equally within TWN and the weather industry, both currently and throughout the years.

When Brittney is not forecasting the weather, she loves traveling the world. Through school visits, mentoring, and volunteering, Brittney is dedicated to energizing young girls and students to understand weather and science-related careers. Brittney has worked as a fill-in weather anchor for four national morning shows: NBCвЂ™s Early Today, and MSNBCвЂ™s Morning Joe, First Look, and Way Too Early.Д«rittney is passionate about educational school visits, diversity in childrenвЂ™s literature, and bridging the gender gap in STEM careers.

She then went on to work at KTVK-3TV in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a weekend meteorologist and special assignment reporter. Prior to retuning to NBC10, Brittney started her career as a morning weekday weather reporter/features reporter at KYMA-TV in Yuma, Arizona. She has shared her book with over 35,000 students, including international audiences in Cuba and Australia. Having combined her passion for childrenвЂ™s education and meteorology, Brittney wrote and published the childrenвЂ™s book, The Meteorologist in Me. She has also earned a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. It was the second snowiest winter ever recorded, tracking almost 68 inches of snowfall at Philadelphia International Airport.ДЄ two-time EmmyВ®-nominated journalist, Brittney earned a bachelorвЂ™s degree in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. The most memorable weather event that Brittney covered was the winter of 2013-2014 in Philadelphia.
